While you can’t predict when an emergency will occur, you can be prepared. In less time than you think, responder training can give you the vital knowledge and skills you’ll need to respond to a life-threatening situation with confidence.
For all of your responder needs from basic Adult CPR/AED and First Aid, to the USDOT required First Responder Training, our instructors can teach it all. You may also receive CEU's for training. To find out more about CEU's click here.
Responder training will teach you to:
· Care for conscious and unconscious choking victims
· Perform CPR
· Give First Aid for a variety of injuries, such as burns, wounds, head, neck and back injuries, and heat and cold-related emergencies
· Manage sudden illnesses such as stroke, seizures, bites and poisoning
Did you know;
By using a casualty sorting system, you are focusing your activities in the middle of a chaotic and confusing environment. You must identify and separate patients rapidly, according to the severity of their injuries and their need for treatment.
The key points to communicate are:
- Location of the incident
- Type of incident
- Any hazards
- Approximate number of victims
- Type of assistance required
